INFINITEK is proud to partner with a leading mining operation to recruit an experienced Electrical and Instrumentation Engineer in Arizona. In this role, you’ll play a key part in maintaining and improving the site’s electrical and instrumentation systems, ensuring reliability and safety across all aspects of production.
Key Responsibilities of Electrical and Instrumentation Engineer
- Supervise and provide hands-on technical direction to E&I maintenance personnel.
- Troubleshoot and support maintenance of large rotating machinery, electrical equipment, and electric mining shovels.
- Develop and manage scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities.
- Support project planning and execution for equipment installations and upgrades.
- Specify and procure components, spares, and rebuilds.
- Mentor junior electricians and guide their progression to journeyman-level competence.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and environmental regulations.
- Oversee contractors and manage electrical project work on site.
- Monitor departmental budgets and control costs.
Qualifications of Electrical and Instrumentation Engineer
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field.
- 3–5 years of relevant experience in the mining or heavy industrial sectors.
Key Skills & Knowledge
- Strong knowledge of industrial power distribution and electronic systems.
- Proficiency with PLCs, VFDs, and protective relaying.
- Skilled in using electrical/electronic testing instruments.
- Solid understanding of electrical safety and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent troubleshooting and logical problem-solving skills.
