Role Description The Staff Accountant role at InfiCare Inc. is a full-time, on-site position based in Wixom, MI. The Staff Accountant will perform daily accounting tasks, including recording journal entries, maintaining general ledger accounts, and assisting with accounts payable and accounts receivable. The role includes preparing and reconciling bank and account reconciliations, supporting month-end and year-end close processes, and assisting in the preparation of financial statements and reports. The Staff Accountant will monitor expenses, support budgeting and forecasting activities, and ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies. The person in this role will collaborate closely with finance and operations teams, respond to audit requests, and help improve accounting processes and efficiencies.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in core accounting principles, including general ledger maintenance, journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.
- Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP, or similar) and solid Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.
- Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, and expense tracking in a corporate or professional services environment.
- Ability to support month-end and year-end close, budgeting, forecasting, and audit preparation activities.
- High attention to detail, accuracy, and organization, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and identify variances or issues.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or progress toward certification is a plus.
- Relevant experience in staffing, professional services, or a similar industry is preferred but not required.
