Position Overview
Maricopa County is seeking an experienced Microsoft Platform Manager to lead the strategy, governance, and lifecycle management of its Microsoft 365 and Power Platform ecosystem. This role is responsible for establishing Microsoft services as a secure, scalable, and governed enterprise platform while enabling innovation, collaboration, and digital transformation across more than 55 agencies.
The ideal candidate will balance platform growth with governance, ensuring compliance, security, and operational sustainability while driving enterprise-wide adoption of Microsoft technologies.
Key Responsibilities
Define and implement governance models for Microsoft 365 and Power Platform
Oversee lifecycle management of Microsoft services including Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Exchange Online, and Power Platform
Establish and enforce policies related to security, compliance, and data management (including DLP and retention policies)
Collaborate with Infrastructure, Security, and Innovation teams to align enterprise technology strategies
Prevent uncontrolled platform sprawl while enabling business-led innovation
Lead enterprise-wide digital transformation initiatives across multiple departments
Engage with executive stakeholders and provide strategic guidance on Microsoft platform capabilities
Monitor platform usage, performance, and compliance metrics to drive continuous improvement
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
Minimum 5 years of progressively responsible experience in:
Microsoft 365 administration and platform governance
IT program management or enterprise technology leadership
At least 3 years of related experience in managing enterprise SaaS platforms
Hands-on experience with:
Microsoft 365 services (Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Exchange Online)
Power Platform administration
Entra ID (Azure AD) and Microsoft Graph
Experience developing governance frameworks, policies, and standards
Strong stakeholder management and executive communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
Certifications such as PMP, ITIL, Microsoft Certifications, or equivalent
Experience leading large-scale digital transformation initiatives
Exposure to enterprise security and compliance frameworks
Work Environment
Hybrid work model (primarily remote with occasional on-site requirements)
Standard business hours with no expected overtime or travel
