Title: Construction Methods Specialist III
Location: Lexington, KY.
Duration: Very Long-term contract
Pay: $66-$71/hr on W2
Callouts:
- Hybrid role (remote/in-office/field) in Lexington, KY
- Ideal: Former Lineman/Substation experience; strong technical background and procedure drafting skills
Job Summary:
- Develop and standardize construction methods for Transmission, Distribution & Substations across multiple operating companies. Ensure safety, compliance, reliability, and efficiency. Work spans overhead/underground distribution, substations, networks, metering, and transmission.
Responsibilities:
- Work with SMEs to create/update procedures, checklists, and job aids
- Coordinate reviews with Safety, Standards, and Training teams
- Lead equipment mock-ups and simulations for procedure/training development
- Communicate and drive adoption of work procedures (presentations, committees, roadshows)
- Support new technology initiatives and travel as needed
- Participate in industry committees
- Identify and incorporate new technologies into procedures/training
- Support emergency/storm response (after-hours as needed)
- Lead Enterprise Standards projects for new technology deployment
Basic Qualifications:
- 5 years Electric Utility field construction experience (Journeyman equivalent) OR BS in technical field 2 years utility field experience
Preferred:
- Strong MS Office & Adobe skills
- Technical writing, communication, facilitation/presentation skills
