Real Estate Accountant

Position: Real Estate Accountant

Compensation: $80,000 - $90,000 annually, depending on experience

Location: Oklahoma City, Oklahoma

Join a dynamic finance team in a multinational oil and gas company, where you will play a crucial role in managing financial operations related to real estate assets. Key Responsibilities & Duties:

• Perform accounting for company-owned and leased real estate
• Manage lease accounting in compliance with ASC 842
• Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations
• Coordinate with teams for accurate property records
• Track and analyze CapEx and OpEx for projects
• Maintain fixed asset subledgers and depreciation
• Support budgeting and long-range planning
• Participate in audits ensuring SOX compliance
• Assist with property acquisition and transactions
• Ensure compliance with tax reporting requirements

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 3–7 years of experience in real estate or corporate accounting
• Strong understanding of US GAAP and ASC 842
• Proficiency with ERP and lease accounting systems
• Strong Excel skills for large datasets
• Experience in multi-entity, global organizations
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Nice to Have Skills & Experience:

• Familiarity with land management systems
• Understanding of environmental remediation liabilities
• Prior involvement in real estate transactions
