Strategic Sourcing Specialist

Position Overview

We are seeking a Strategic Sourcing Specialist with strong negotiation skills and a business-focused mindset to support key sourcing and procurement initiatives within a global, execution-focused sourcing organization.

This position will be responsible for supporting and optimizing the supplier base, executing transactional and strategic sourcing activities, maintaining supplier and contract data integrity, and contributing to critical business KPIs.

The Strategic Sourcing Specialist will work closely with suppliers, internal stakeholders, Legal, Contracts, and other cross-functional teams to execute sourcing initiatives aligned with the Global Strategic Sourcing Annual Operating Plan.

Key Responsibilities

Commodity Management & Supplier Negotiations

• Lead commodity management activities and supplier negotiations.
• Support supplier relationship management and sourcing initiatives.
• Prepare, route, and upload Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs).
• Draft unilateral letters, novations, assignments, and assumptions in partnership with Legal and Contracts teams.
• Review supplier amendments prior to execution to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Prepare and submit sourcing and compliance documentation, including:
• • Extended Terms Requests (ETRs)
  • FAIR pull requests
  • Supplier scorecards
  • Fair & Reasonable Price Justifications (FRPJs)
• Maintain and update supplier information within SAP, including:
• • Minimum Order Quantity (MOQ) changes
  • Price validation
  • Contract validation
  • Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) updates

Strategic Sourcing & RFQ Management

• Develop and distribute Request for Quote (RFQ) packages, including drawings and supporting documentation.
• Support sourcing events and evaluate supplier information.
• Analyze part demand, forecasts, and historical receipt data to support sourcing decisions.
• Initiate Should-Cost Engineering (SCE) analysis requests.
• Extract, analyze, and maintain platform-level sourcing data.
• Support strategic sourcing initiatives aligned with organizational objectives and annual operating plans.

Supplier & Sourcing Operations

• Execute vendor master additions and changes.
• Process material master updates.
• Upload and maintain supplier documentation within contract management systems.
• Ensure supplier and contract information is accurate, complete, and compliant.
• Resolve Purchase Order (PO) and Supplier Portal issues through applicable contract management systems.
• Support, execute, and analyze CID and BAA content assessments.
• Partner with internal stakeholders and suppliers to resolve sourcing, contractual, and operational issues.

Required Qualifications

• Strong experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, commodity management, and/or supplier management.
• Demonstrated supplier negotiation experience.
• Strong business and financial acumen.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience working collaboratively with suppliers and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Proficiency with:
• • SAP and/or other ERP systems
  • eSourcing tools
  • RFQ platforms
  • Microsoft Office
  • Project management tools

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Project Management and/or Contract Management experience.
• Professional certification in Supply Chain, Procurement, Project Management, or Contract Management.
• Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies.
• Strong interest in learning, process improvement, and operational excellence.
