This is a pure new business, hunter role focused on net-new logo acquisition within the SMB and mid-market space (20–1,000 employees).
You’ll be joining a high-performing, collaborative team (this is the final open seat on the team) and reporting directly to a respected sales leader. - Own the full sales cycle from cold outreach to close
- Generate your own pipeline through cold calling, outbound prospecting, and networking
- Target SMB and mid-market organizations across Virginia and North Carolina
- Lead consultative sales conversations, uncovering business challenges and aligning solutions
- “Quarterback” deals—manage stakeholders, drive next steps, and maintain momentum
- Develop and deliver presentations, proposals, and business cases
- Build long-term relationships with key decision-makers
- Represent the company at industry events, networking functions, and in-market activities
Core Experience
- 3 years of quota-carrying B2B sales experience (5 preferred)
- Proven success in a true hunting role (new business generation)
- Experience building your own pipeline (not reliant on SDRs/marketing leads)
- Background selling into SMB or mid-market organizations (20–1,000 employees)
- Strong cold calling and outbound prospecting discipline
- Experience managing longer, more complex sales cycles
- Ability to run fewer, higher-value deals vs. high-volume transactional sales
- Highly consultative, strategic, and solution-oriented
- MSP, IT services, cloud, cybersecurity, or VOIP sales experience
- Experience in similar solution-based or services-led environments
- Competitive and driven, with a team-first mentality
- Highly coachable, low ego, and open to feedback
- Structured, disciplined, and process-oriented
- Resilient—able to handle rejection and stay motivated

- Base Salary: $80,000 – $100,000
- Year 1 OTE: $175,000 – $200,000
- Year 2 OTE: $200,000 – $250,000
- Top Performers: $250K–$300K (uncapped commission)
