Our Client, a Public Utility that provides natural gas and electricity to the majority of Michigan's 10 million residents is seeking a talented and self-driven individual for needs serving in the role of Sr. Administrative Assistant (HR)
Responsibilities:
Typing, filing, taking dictation, data entry, verifying quality of work, and making routine calculations, preparing forms, reports, operating a variety of office equipment, using a personal computer to enter and retrieve information to compile various routine reports/orders, as well as utilizing various computer software programs.
Additionally, the Administrative Assistant is responsible for:
- Maintaining daily production reports
- Assisting visitors
- Performing other miscellaneous office tasks
- Travel scheduling/coordination and office space coordination
- Makes calculations in an accurate manner
- Be familiar with Company policies and procedures
- Running errands within the Jackson area 2-3 times per week.
Required Qualifications
- Working knowledge and use of Microsoft Office programs – Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, One Note, and PowerPoint experience is required.
- Will provide assistance in presentation development using MS Office tools (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
- Candidates should be familiar with MS Co-Pilot or other AI tools that can help with drafting emails and other communications.
- Ability to perform standard to complex office tasks
- Experience tracking, maintaining and reporting on various inventories
- Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks
- Complex integration of conflicting calendar priorities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal and analytical skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Results-Oriented
- 2 years' experience as Administrative Assistant in Large Company or Corporate setting
- 2 years' experience in specialized/functional area/discipline
- Experience using electronic calendaring to schedule meetings for many attendees
- Associates degree or equivalent experience is preferred
