SALARY RANGE:The anticipated salary range for this role is$21.00-$27.00 hourly. This range reflects a good faith estimate based on the targeted level for the role and typical compensation benchmarks across U.S. locations. Actual compensation may vary depending on the selected candidate’s qualifications, experience, geographicallocation,and internal alignment.

Summary

As an Administrative Assistant, you will provide administrative support to ensure the smooth operation of our office. This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, has strong organizational skills, and is eager to learn and grow in a professional office environment.

Responsibilities

The following job functions are a basic requirement but are not limited to and may be assigned other duties.

  • Administrative Support: Provide general administrative support such as answering phone calls, responding to emails, managing calendars,processing physicalmailand scheduling appointments.Assistwith preparing documents, reports, and presentations as needed. 
  • Front Desk Duties: Greet visitors, clients, and employees in a professional and friendly manner.Check in guestsvia visitor kiosk,direct inquiries to theappropriate personor department.
  • Data Entry and Record Keeping: Accurately enter data into spreadsheets, databases, and other electronic systems. Maintain and update records, files, and documents in a systematic and organized manner. 
  • Filing and Document Management: Organize andmaintainphysical and electronic files. Ensure documents are properly labeled, filed, and easily accessible. Retrieve and distribute files asrequested. 
  • Office Supplies and Inventory Management: Monitor andmaintaininventory of office supplies, equipment, and stationery.Place orders for supplies as needed and ensurethe availabilityof necessary items. 
  • Meeting and Event Support: Assist in preparing meeting rooms, including arranging furniture, setting up audiovisual equipment,arrangingforandproviding refreshments, returning meeting spaces back to originalcondition. Take meeting minutes and distribute them to attendees asrequired. 
  • Communication and Correspondence: Draft, proofread, and edit routine correspondence, memos, and reports. Maintain professional andtimelycommunication with internal staff, external contacts, and clients. 
  • Office Organization and Maintenance:Maintaina clean and organized office environment. Ensurecommunal areas, such as the reception area, kitchenettes,and conference rooms, are tidy and presentable. Coordinate maintenance and repairs as needed. 
  • Coordinate relationships and services provided by key Facility Vendors (e.g.,Office Supplies,Café Vendor,Landscaping, Pest Control, Dumpster, Recycling, Office Cleaning, Window Washing, etc.)
  • Supportnew employee onboarding w/ HR, Facilities Team, IT, and Hiring Manager
  • Participate in site Engagement Committee which arranges team building,volunteerand other engagement activities for the full team
  • Coordinate weekly updates to “screen content” and distribute office memos and newsletters asrequired
  • Manage “Company Swag” supply and allocation to team
  • Coordinate with corporate travel team to support visiting Edge team members during visits to Ann Arbor
  • Administrative Tasks: Provide support on special projects, assignments, ortasksassigned by supervisors or managers. Adapt to changing priorities andhandlingmultiple tasks simultaneously. 

Required Qualifications

  • Proficient computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and basic understanding of office equipment such as printers, copiers, and scanners. 
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines. 
  • Professional demeanor and strong interpersonal skills. 
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment. 
  • Demonstrated reliability, punctuality, anda strongwork ethic. 
  • Discretion and respect for confidential information. 
  • Willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities. 
  • Prior experience in an office environment is preferred but notrequired. This is an entry-level position suitable for candidates with limited professional experience.

Work Environment And Physical Requirements

The work environment may involve a standard office setting while also incorporating elements of a production area. Employees will use standard office equipment, including computers, and must demonstrate stamina to sit or stand while maintaining attention to detail despite potential interruptions. The role may require occasional activities such as walking, climbing, stooping, crouching, and bending. Vision is necessary for reading printed materials and a computer screen, while hearing and speech are essential for effective communication both in person and over the telephone. Additionally, the position may necessitate travel by air or automobile. Employees may be required to use personal protective equipment, including safety glasses, safety shoes, and shop coats, to ensure safety in the production environment. Employees may be able to lift up to30pounds as needed.
