Must-Haves
- Local candidate to La Vista, NE (REQUIRED)
- Minimum 2 years of stable manufacturing/fabrication experience
- Hands-on experience with CNC Laser, Waterjet, or Press Brake equipment
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Experience using precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges)
- Strong understanding of metal fabrication processes and shop equipment
- Basic math skills (measurements, dimensions, conversions)
We are seeking a Laser Cutting Technician to join a growing manufacturing team. This role is ideal for a hands-on professional with experience in CNC fabrication and precision metal cutting who takes pride in producing high-quality parts.
You will operate advanced equipment, ensure accuracy and efficiency in production, and contribute to continuous improvement efforts within the fabrication department.
Key Responsibilities
Machine Operation & Production
- Set up and operate CNC laser cutting equipment and fabrication machinery
- Produce parts that meet strict quality and dimensional specifications
- Adjust machine settings to optimize performance and efficiency
- Perform inspections using calipers, micrometers, and other measuring tools
- Ensure all components meet blueprint and engineering requirements
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, work orders, and job specs
- Execute jobs with precision and attention to detail
- Identify opportunities to improve workflow, efficiency, and output quality
- Support ongoing development of fabrication processes
- Track production data, labor time, and inventory using ERP systems
- Maintain accurate records of work completed
- Follow all safety procedures and shop standards
- Work independently while supporting team production goals
- 1–2 years of experience in a fabrication, job shop, or manufacturing environment
- Experience operating equipment such as:
- CNC Laser / Waterjet
- Press Brakes, Punch Presses, Rollers
- Saws, Grinders, Drill Presses, Milling Machines
- Familiarity with ERP systems for production tracking is a plus
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Willingness to complete forklift and overhead crane certification (company provided)
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift materials throughout the shift
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with machinery, noise, and metal materials
