Finance Manager / Controller - Manufacturing

Location: Lorain, OH (1 day remote after ramp-up)

Must-Haves:

• 7 years of experience in manufacturing finance/accounting or similar leadership role
• Global/international experience is required
• Proven experience managing a small team (direct reports)
• Strong background in financial reporting, forecasting, and accounting operations
• Experience working within an ERP system
• Demonstrated involvement in process improvement or digitalization initiatives (e.g., AP workflow, ERP migration)
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field
  
  

Overview:

We are seeking a Finance Manager/Controller to lead financial operations for a manufacturing facility in Lorain, OH. This role is highly visible and collaborative, partnering closely with Sales, Operations, and global teams to ensure financial accuracy, operational efficiency, and strategic alignment.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership & Team Management

• Lead and develop a team of 3 accounting/finance professionals
• Foster a high-performance, accountable team environment
  
  

Financial Reporting & Analysis

• Oversee all accounting functions, financial reporting, and management reporting
• Ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with company standards
  
  

Planning & Forecasting

• Drive budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes
• Provide insights to support business decisions and performance improvement
  
  

Cash Management & Credit Control

• Manage credit processes across the Americas
• Oversee local financing activities and cash flow management
  
  

Compliance & External Relationships

• Ensure timely tax filings and coordinate internal/external audits
• Maintain relationships with banks, auditors, and regulatory authorities
  
  

Process Improvement & Systems

• Lead or support digital transformation initiatives (e.g., AP automation, ERP upgrades)
• Continuously improve financial systems, processes, and workflows
  
  

Cross-Functional & Global Collaboration

• Partner with Sales, Operations, and global stakeholders to align financial and business objectives
