Under supervision, this position will conduct licensing studies and re-licensing reviews of day care centers and homes to determine eligibility for licensing or re-licensing. The position will conduct on-site inspection and will initiate re-licensing activity, while providing ongoing monitoring of assigned day care centers and homes. This position provides a great opportunity for someone who is passionate about children and interested in playing a role in ensuring the safety of day care centers and homes. • Serves as Day Care Licensing Representative. ```{=html}

• Initiates re-licensing activity (requesting necessary inspections, providing reapplication forms, etc.) prior to the expiration date of day care center and home licenses. ```{=html}

• Provides ongoing monitoring of assigned day care centers and homes, visiting each at least once per year and making additional visits as needed. ```{=h tml}

• Investigates alleged violations of the Illinois Child Care Act and
  
  

Department standards and regulations as applied to licensed, unlicensed, and license-exempt facilities. ```{=html}

• Coordinates services with other local, state, or federal standard-setting agencies concerned with inspecting, licensing, funding, and monitoring day care centers, day care homes, or group day care homes. ```{=html}

• Obtains fire and health clearances for day care facilities from the
  
  

Department of Public Health and state and local fire inspectors. ```{=html}

• Maintains client records (to include filing documents as needed) in accordance with federal and state statutes and guidelines,
