Job Title: Claims Oversight/Claims Consultant

Overview

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled individual to join our team in a Claims Oversight role, responsible for managing and supervising claims within our construction program. This position requires a strong understanding of New York City Labor Law, extensive experience with construction claims, and the ability to effectively coordinate with our Third-Party Administrator (TPA) and legal defense partners. The role will be based out of our NYC headquarters.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage, analyze, and review all claims within our claims system.
• Direct and guide our Third-Party Administrator (TPA) to ensure all claims best practices are consistently followed.
• Collaborate closely with the Head of Claims to ensure all client claims are handled efficiently and appropriately.
• Work directly with TPAs and defense counsel, maintaining strong, professional relationships.
• Coordinate with defense panels on all active claims and ensure timely communication and updates.
• Monitor TPA activities to ensure compliance with established policies, procedures, and performance expectations.
• Oversee and assist with all claims-related tasks, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and adherence to program requirements.

Required Qualifications

• 5 years of experience in construction claims handling.
• Strong knowledge of NYC Labor Law, particularly as it applies to construction-related matters.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and critical‑thinking abilities.
• Proven ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with internal teams and management.
