Position Summary
A leading professional services firm is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Court Clerk to support litigation and legal operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, the ability to manage multiple priorities, and experience handling court filings and legal administrative tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- File, serve, and deliver legal documents in federal, state, and local courts.
- Conduct legal and court-related research both online and in person.
- Prepare basic legal forms and correspondence, including Notices of Appearance, Notices of Entry, and requests for Certificates of Good Standing.
- Manage electronic filings through federal and state court systems, including PACER and other e-filing platforms.
- Perform administrative support tasks such as docketing, document copying, scanning, and court runs.
- Coordinate and communicate effectively with attorneys, court personnel, opposing counsel, and internal staff regarding case-related matters.
- Maintain accuracy and attention to detail while managing time-sensitive assignments and deadlines.
- Support special projects and assist with additional clerical or operational duties as needed.
- Travel to courts, agencies, and related offices as required; overtime may occasionally be necessary.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree required (BA or BS preferred).
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a legal, court, or professional services environment.
Skills & Competencies
- Knowledge of federal and state court filing procedures and e-filing systems.
- Experience with PACER required; familiarity with docketing software is a plus.
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal administrative systems.
Salary : $50,000 - $60,000
