Operations Supervisor

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Cold Storage Warehouse Supervisor for our 2nd shift to oversee daily operations in a high-volume, temperature-controlled facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food safety standards, regulatory compliance, inventory management, and team leadership. This role requires a proactive, detail-oriented individual capable of managing multiple priorities with minimal supervision.Key Responsibilities:Must be ok and available to work on the 2nd shift (shift times will range between 2pm-midnight)Food Safety & Compliance:·Ensure adherence to BRCGS Food Safety standards and Food Defense protocols.·Maintain compliance with FSIS import/export requirements and HACCP processes.·Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure regulatory and internal standards are met.Warehouse Operations:·Oversee blast cell management, product handling, and storage procedures.·Monitor and maintain inventory health, including FIFO/FEFO practices and traceability.·Track and report on warehouse KPIs such as order accuracy, throughput, and shrink.Team & Labor Management:·Lead, train, and schedule warehouse staff to ensure efficient workflow and productivity.·Promote a culture of safety and accountability in line with OSHA standards.·Manage labor resources to meet operational demands and reduce overtime.Facility Oversight:·Open and close the facility as needed, ensuring security and operational readiness.·Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.Administrative & Communication:· Prepare reports, maintain records, and communicate effectively with internal teams and external partners.· Coordinate with logistics, quality assurance, and customer service departments.Qualifications:Minimum 5 years of experience in a cold storage supervisory or lead role.High school diploma or equivalent (GED); additional certifications in food safety or logistics a plus.Strong knowledge of BRCGS, HACCP, FSIS, and OSHA regulations.Proven ability to manage high-volume operations with attention to detail and time management.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.Ability to multi-task, work independently, and adapt to changing priorities.Willingness to work weekend rotations and flexible hours as needed.Skills and Competencies:Experience with WMS (Warehouse Management Systems)Forklift certificationBilingual (English/Spanish) is a plusAt iJility, we value our employees and offer a competitive salary, comprehensive benefits, and opportunities for professional growth and development.
