Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Take customer orders accurately and efficiently, using the point of sale (POS) system.
- Serve food and beverages promptly and courteously, ensuring high standards of food service.
- Process payments accurately and handle cash responsibly, following established cash handling procedures.
- Manage table assignments effectively to optimize seating and flow, demonstrating strong table management skills.
- Proactively suggest additional items to enhance the customer experience (upselling).
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
- Work collaboratively with kitchen staff and other servers to provide seamless service, showcasing excellent teamwork.
- Address customer concerns and resolve issues professionally, exhibiting strong communication skills.
- Possess thorough menu knowledge to answer customer questions accurately.
- Provide exceptional customer service to create a positive dining experience.
Required Qualifications
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Experience
- Prior experience as a server in a restaurant setting is preferred but not required. We are willing to train enthusiastic individuals.
Knowledge/Skills
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Basic math skills for accurate order taking and cash handling.
- Familiarity with point of sale (POS) systems is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
