Responsibilities
- Transports product to and from designated areas in the facility
- Load and unload incoming deliveries
- Ensure proper storage and retrieval
- Consolidation of product in location
- Move goods packed on pallets or in crates around the facility
- Return overstock to proper locations and stock checks
- Enter shipment into igus system
- Stack goods in the correct locations by following inventory control instructions
- Check loads are secure
- Stack empty pallets
- Perform daily equipment checks such as recharging the truck’s battery
- Examine products to verify conformance to quality standards
- Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations
- Perform other duties as requested by Team Leader, Production Supervisor or Manager
- Manual dexterity and good eyesight are required
- Frequently lift up to 60 pounds
- Adjust body position to bend, stoop, stand, walk, turn, pivot, and stand for long periods of time
- Having good eye-hand-foot coordination
- Ability to assess weights and judge distances and heights
- Ability to work in varying temperatures, depending upon season
- High school diploma or GED required
- Prefer candidates with forklift operation experience
- Reliable attendance record
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Must be available and willing to work overtime and weekends as needed to satisfy customer needs
- Good math, language and reading skills; basic computer skills may be required
- High degree of attention required to prevent injury to others; promote a safe work environment
- Follow instructions for operating equipment and keeping records
- Execute assignments in an accurate, timely and safe manner
