IES Commercial, Inc. – DBA IES Electrical, seeking full-time Safety Manager in Chester, Virginia.
Job Summary
- Conducts training on safety, technical skills, compliance with IES safety policies and procedures, accident prevention techniques, and operation of motorized equipment.
- Delivers OSHA 10 & 30 certification, new employee orientation, and other safety training as needed and/or required by IES, OSHA, state or local safety standards
- Provides IES fleet safety training to all drivers
- Develops and prepares training materials and presentations
- Maintains tracking database on each employee's training
- Participates in safety inspection processes; assists management in ensuring all violations are corrected immediately
- Assists with maintaining safety files in compliance with IES, OSHA, and other regulatory organization guidelines
- Travels as may be required.
Qualifications
- OSHA-500 or OSHA-501 Certification
- 3 or more years recent experience in construction safety; commercial, industrial, or utility line electrical or heavy equipment experience a plus
- Knowledge of OSHA, state, federal safety regulations and electrical construction industry practices
- Proficient computer and communication skills (written, verbal)
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management and field employees
- Maintain driving qualifications as required per IES Fleet Safety Program
- Successfully pass pre-employment (post offer) background check and MVR check
