Job Summary
- Works under direct supervision of Division Safety Manager
- Assists in New Employee Safety Orientation training
- Inspects and audits projects/jobsites compliance with IES C&I safety policies, procedures, programs
- Conducts employee training on IES-C&I safety policies, procedures and programs
- Periodically participates in weekly safety toolbox meetings on projects/jobsites
- Assists Safety Manager in investigating incidents and near-misses with prevention recommendations
- Participates in safety inspection process; assists management to ensure all violations are corrected immediately
- Builds effective relationships with customers, general contractors and other subcontractors that meet/exceed expectations in support of company core values
- Completes other duties as directed by Division Safety Manager
- Travel may be required.
- 2 years construction safety experience required; 2-5 yrs. electrical construction experience preferred
- Knowledge of OSHA, state, federal safety regulations and electrical construction industry practices
- Must possess/maintain OSHA-30 Certification and 1st Aid/CPR Certification or have ability to obtain within time period as directed by the company; and other Certifications as required by project/customer including HAZWOPER Certification
- Ability to read and interpret all safety regulations and apply them to Company policies and practices
- Ability to work/lead in an ethical and safe manner, to solve problems and adjust priorities, and support the company’s values
- Ability to communicate effectively with management and field employees
- Successfully pass pre-employment (post offer) background check and MVR check when responsibilities require operating motor vehicles.
