Our culinary operation includes à la carte dining, private events, banquets, club traditions, and special culinary experiences. Position Summary
The Line Cook is responsible for preparing and executing menu items according to established recipes, presentation standards, and ticket-time expectations.
This position plays a critical role in delivering consistent, timely, and high-quality dining experiences to our members and their guests. The ideal candidate is organized, composed under pressure, technically capable, and committed to supporting the success of the entire culinary team.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare and execute menu items according to established recipes, specifications, and presentation standards
* Set up and maintain an organized, clean, and fully stocked station
* Execute food orders accurately and within established ticket-time expectations
* Maintain consistent standards for cooking, seasoning, portioning, temperature, and presentation
* Read, organize, and prioritize tickets during service
* Communicate effectively with culinary leadership, expo, and fellow team members
* Anticipate product, equipment, and operational needs before they interrupt service
* Maintain proper food temperatures and follow all food-safety procedures
* Label, date, rotate, and properly store food products
* Assist with preparation, production, breakdown, and closing responsibilities
* Minimize waste and use products responsibly
* Maintain clean and sanitary equipment, utensils, and work areas
* Respond positively to coaching, direction, and changing operational needs
* Assist other stations and culinary team members as needed
* Contribute to a respectful, professional, and team-oriented kitchen culture
* Execute excellence with every plate and during every service
Ideal Candidate
* Previous line cook or professional kitchen experience preferred
* Working knowledge of common cooking methods, kitchen equipment, and food-safety practices
* Ability to follow recipes, specifications, and verbal instructions
* Ability to work efficiently and remain composed during high-volume service
* Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
* Dependable, punctual, and accountable
* Able to communicate clearly and work effectively as part of a team
* Positive attitude and willingness to learn
* Comfortable receiving coaching and constructive feedback
* Committed to consistency, cleanliness, and quality
* Interested in growing within a professional culinary operation
We are willing to consider candidates with limited line experience who demonstrate strong fundamental skills, dependability, a willingness to learn, and a commitment to excellence.
Physical Requirements
* Ability to stand and work for extended periods
* Ability to safely lift and carry up to 50 pounds
* Ability to bend, reach, push, pull, and perform repetitive kitchen tasks
* Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-temperature kitchen environment
* Ability to safely use knives, cooking equipment, and commercial kitchen tools
Schedule
This position may include afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays based on the needs of club operations.
