Speech Language Pathologist
Location: Phoenix, AZ
Schedule / Job Type: Full-time
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate and treat residents with speech, hearing, swallowing, and cognitive disabilities in compliance with state and federal guidelines.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on thorough assessments.
- Administer and interpret specialized hearing and speech tests.
- Educate residents, families, and caregivers on monitoring and practicing new communication skills.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of evaluations, treatment plans, and progress notes.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to provide comprehensive care in a skilled nursing facility setting.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and maintain resident privacy at all times.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree in Speech Language Pathology.
- Current license in Speech Language Therapy as mandated by state law.
- Valid CPR certification.
- Six months of experience in a long-term care environment preferred.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Knowledge of geriatric clinical needs and effective speech therapy techniques.
- Strong clinical skills and the ability to develop creative, individualized treatment strategies.
