Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients across various settings, including inpatient, outpatient, long-term care, community-based, and home health.
• Provide therapeutic interventions for rehabilitation of physical and developmental disorders, including motor development, strength, balance, gait, and coordination.
• Conduct assessments on infants, children, adolescents, and adults, utilizing physical examinations to diagnose movement disorders.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and coordinate care to meet discharge and treatment goals.
• Promote patient independence by optimizing resource utilization and advocating for patient needs.
• Float between departments or locations within a 20-mile radius as needed.
• Maintain detailed documentation and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy (Doctorate preferred).
• Valid New Mexico PT License.
• BLS certification through American Heart Association, American Health and Safety, or Red Cross.
• Minimum one year of pediatric physical therapy experience if working with children.
• At least two years of current experience in a physical therapy specialty.
• Inpatient and outpatient experience required.
• Prior experience with a 13-week travel assignment preferred.
• Basic computer skills.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• EPIC electronic medical record system knowledge (training available).
• Pediatric skills, though not mandatory.
• Flexibility and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong team player with excellent communication skills.
• Ability to adapt to float between pediatric and adult care units if necessary.
