Are you interested in providing leadership and direction for the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare’s (DHW) Rural Health Transformation Program (RHTP) by leading initiatives focused on evidence-based, population-focused health interventions, overseeing activities related to those interventions and providing technical assistance to Idaho's tribes in partnership with the DHW tribal liaison? We are looking for a Rural Health Transformation Program Manager with strong leadership and collaboration skills to serve on our team in a limited-service capacity in DHW's newly established Idaho Office of Rural Health Transformation located in downtown Boise .
This position is not eligible for telework.
This is a limited-service position. Length of limited-service appointments are determined by the availability of funds such as grants, alternative funding sources and/or timeframes such as pilot projects, alternative funding sources or program termination.

EXAMPLE OF DUTIES:
- Develop, coordinate, evaluate and integrate management of contracts and subgrants within RHTP initiatives.
- Administer project budgets, authorize expenditures, and develop/monitor contracts.
- Identify and direct opportunities for collaboration and integration across RHTP initiatives.
- Establish expectations and measures for continual quality improvement of services and RHTP performance.
- Work with RHTP staff on priorities, performance measures, evaluations, and grant writing and reporting.
- Assist with the development of benchmarks to demonstrate RHTP impact and quantify activities.
- Provide technical assistance to Idaho’s tribes in coordination with DHW’s tribal liaison and Idaho Office of RHTP Director.
- Oversee the implementation of population-specific evidence-based projects to make America healthy again.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
You must possess all the minimum qualifications below to pass the exam for this position. - Some knowledge of management practices as well as experience providing technical proficiency, problem-solving, communication, and program area training. Typically gained by at least one-year experience managing a major Program and providing leadership of professional staff. Candidates may also qualify through completing upper-division college-level management coursework along with experience in a significant Leadership role.
Below is preferred experience. It is not required for the position but applicants with this experience may receive consideration over other applicants.
- Experience managing a budget. Typically gained by at least one year of experience developing and managing a large program budget including multiple funding sources and programs.
- Experience developing and managing complex, collaborative workplans. Typically gained by at least one year of experience in a role where developing and managing workplans that included partners from multiple organizations was a primary responsibility.
