Operational Services is currently recruiting a Building Facility Coordinator to support our Boise location. This position will provide facility and administrative support throughout the region and is responsible for reviewing facilities requests, managing moves, completing occasional maintenance, and maintaining the local motor pool. We are seeking applicants who excel at attention to detail, enjoy a variety of tasks and are well-organized for multi-tasking and changing priorities quickly. Previous SharePoint and Visio experience is preferred. The incumbent for this position will coordinate moves, office maintenance, motor pool maintenance, and process invoices in the Boise regional location. They may provide leadership for building evacuations and coordinate with security. Ensure building is safe, functional, and compliant with all regulations.

This position is not eligible for telework.

    EXAMPLE OF DUTIES:

    Facility Coordination:

    • Determines equipment and supply needs for regional facilities and motor pool.
    • Establishes rapport and maintains communication with facility users to ensure all needs are met.
    • Identifies or anticipates maintenance problems and takes corrective action.
    • Monitors and controls the facility environment including HVAC, lighting, and cleanliness.
    • Monitors facility and motor pool use by programs to ensure conformance with established policies and procedures.
    • Provides leadership & technical assistance to staff for emergency procedures incl. fire alarms, electrical failures, elevator emergencies, injuries, floods, & storms.
    • Recommends security & safety solutions, serves as resource for emergency personnel assisting in evacuating facility and maintaining order.
    Contractor Supervision:
    • Monitors contractor conduct and building operations.
    • Develops and prepares project and moves plans, supervise contractors to ensure successful outcome.
    • Identifies needs and plans and coordinate with housekeeping, security, and program.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

    You must possess all the minimum qualifications below to pass the exam for this position.       • Some knowledge of supervisory practices . Typically gained a class or seminar (more than one day) specifically covering supervisory practices; or leadwork experience that required work assignment, direction, and monitoring (such experience on a fill-in basis is non-qualifying unless for a period of approximately three months or more); or successful completion of a college-level personnel course.
      • Some knowledge of adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing whole numbers . Typically gained by successful completion of a high school or vocational basic arithmetic course covering addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division of whole numbers.
      • Experience resolving customer service problems . Typically met by approximately one year of experience working in customer service solving customer problems.
      • Experience developing written reports . This is typically gained by at least six (6) months of experience where you were required to research, compile and organize information into written reports for management decisions.
      • Experience operating and maintaining commercial lighting, audio-visual, and sound equipment . Typically gained by approximately six months of experience operating and maintaining commercial lighting, audio-visual, and sound equipment.
      • Experience using tools, equipment, materials and common practices used in facility preparation including custodial work . Typically gained by one year of facility preparation experience such as cleaning meeting rooms, floors, tables, etc.
