The Senior Staff Accountant is responsible for preparing month-end journal entries, account reconciliations, and account analysis. The successful candidate will collect pertinent information for third party audits, review payroll, and will be the first point of contact for accounting-related issues.
Requires a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, with 5 years of progressive accounting experience, and a desire to develop accounting skills for growth opportunity in the department.
This range reflects the expected base pay for this position in Massachusetts and is based on internal equity. Actual compensation may vary based on experience, qualifications, and performance.

- Play a significant role in the month-end close process
- Process accounting transactions with accuracy across multiple cost centers
- Provide detailed analysis and explanations of all transactions
- Coordinate documentation for external auditors
- Responsible for Sales & Use Tax compliance across multiple entities, including timely filings & documentation
- Knowledgeable in Fixed Assets. Update and track Fixed Assets across multiple entities/cost centers
- Manage credit card reconciliation
- Maintain and update process and procedure documents for the department
- Demonstrated ability to support other departments within the company and coordinate training and information sessions as needed
- Assist with other projects as needed
Requires a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, with 5 years of progressive accounting experience, and a desire to develop accounting skills for growth opportunity in the department.
- Must be able to prioritize deadlines and shift priorities in a changing environment.
- Experience with month-end close processes, journal entries, and account reconciliation
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and standard accounting practices
- Experience with Sales & Use Tax compliance and filings
- Familiarity with fixed asset accounting and depreciation schedules
- Prior experience supporting external audits and preparing audit documentation
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Attention to detail
- ERP experience is required; NetSuite or SAP is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, data analysis)
- Payroll experience is helpful
- Experience working in Manufacturing is a plus
