Job Overview: This role is responsible for complex accounting tasks, financial reporting, and supporting audits and compliance efforts. Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements.
- Participate in month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing, tax filings, bank reconciliations, forecasting and budgeting.
- Analyze and report on financial data to support business decision-making.
- Ensure accuracy and integrity of the general ledger and sub-ledgers.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis.
- Maintain fixed asset records, inventory and cost of goods sold.
- Analyze current costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations incurred to predict future revenues and expenses
- Participate in revenue and margin analysis, sales tax compliance and filings
- Assist in cash management and treasury type functions including cash flow analysis
- Support external audits and coordinate with auditors by providing requested documentation.
- Maintain compliance with GAAP and company policies and procedures.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and help implement changes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support financial initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 5 years of progressive accounting experience
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting best practices
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with accounting software
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with distribution-specific financials, benchmarks and activities
- Familiarity with ERP system implementations or upgrades
- Knowledge of SOX compliance or other regulatory requirements
- Ability to handle confidential information with integrity

Salary : $75,000 - $95,000
