We are looking for a Controls and Automation Engineer to join our client's Maintenance team at a highly automated manufacturing facility in Pueblo, Colorado. (Relocation offered!) In this role, you will play a key part in optimizing production processes, improving equipment performance, and advancing plant-wide automation systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Support operations and maintenance across rolling mills and steelmaking processes
- Design, develop, and implement control systems (hardware and software) to improve productivity, quality, uptime, and energy efficiency
- Analyze, troubleshoot, and enhance PLC and HMI systems
- Monitor performance metrics and integrate control systems with enterprise information systems
- Provide technical support and resolve process control issues in a fast-paced production environment
- Develop system specifications, architecture, and documentation for automation projects
- Lead and execute automation-related projects from concept through implementation
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Automated Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience working with Allen-Bradley (required)
- Hands-on experience with PLCs, drives, HMI software/hardware
- Ability to read and interpret hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic schematics
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Project, PowerPoint)
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and organizational skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Willingness to participate in on-call support as needed

Salary : $115,000 - $140,000
