Job Summary
HRI, Inc., a leader in heavy civil construction since 1947, has an opening for an experienced and energetic Accountantin our State College office.
Main Responsibilities
Provide support to Region Managers, Controllers, Area Managers,, Project Managers and Project Engineers
Review month-end financials for accuracy. Process adjusting entries and reclassifications (as needed/directed by Controller/Project Managers)
Prepare general ledger reconciliations on a monthly basis for select accounts
Prepare Excel reports and other analysis as needed
Independently prioritize workload to meet all deadlines
Provide financial software support to personnel as needed
Travel to area offices, construction projects, and manufacturing locations as needed
Work with bookkeeping software
Assist with research, filing, data entry, and recording and maintaining accurate and complete financial records
Handle sensitive or confidential information with honesty and integrity
Prepare financial reports, such as balance sheets and income statements, invoices, and other documents
Education
Bachelors degree preferably in Accounting or Business Administration with a focus in Accounting
Valid driver's license
Skills
Aptitude for math, proficiency with computers
Experience with Microsoft Office
Ability to read and interpret documents, organize and analyze data
Good interpersonal and teambuilding skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Maintains a valid driveras license
Maintains adequate transportation to work
Adheres to safety procedures/guidelines at all times
Punctuality, consistent attendance and self-direction
Physical Requirements
Wears and maintains personal protective equipment (PPE) as required by Company safety guidelines
Regularly required to communicate (talk and hear)
Sitting and/or standing for long periods of time
Must comply with the company's drug and alcohol testing requirements
Good work ethic, professional, and positive attitude
Some travel might be required
