Position Summary
The Federal Benefits Specialist is responsible for monitoring and managing a caseload of dependent youth receiving federal benefits, including Social Security, Veterans benefits, and Railroad Retirement benefits. The role ensures compliance with Arizona Revised Statute (A.R.S. 8-468) and federal program regulations while maintaining accurate documentation and case records.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and monitor a caseload of up to 300 youth receiving federal benefits.
- Review eligibility and maintain compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Coordinate with internal teams, agencies, guardians, and external organizations regarding benefit cases.
- Maintain accurate case files, records, and documentation.
- Process updates, changes, and required reporting related to benefit programs.
- Ensure timely follow-up on case activities and deadlines.
- Communicate professionally with stakeholders regarding benefit status and documentation requirements.
- Work collaboratively with team members and management to resolve issues and maintain compliance standards.
- Support audits, reviews, and administrative processes related to benefit programs.
