Position Overview
I’RAISE is seeking a dynamic and passionate Hip-Hop Facilitator to join our Activation Tour across Georgia, working alongside our Mental Health Team to deliver powerful, youth-centered, in-person experiences.
This role blends hip-hop culture, creative expression, and mental health awareness to engage youth and young adults in meaningful conversations around emotional wellness, self-expression, identity, and resilience. Facilitators will lead interactive workshops, performances, and activities that use hip-hop as a tool for healing, empowerment, and connection.

Position Overview

Roles & Responsibilities
- Facilitate in-person hip-hop–based workshops and activities during Activation Tour events across Georgia
- Collaborate closely with the Mental Health Team to align creative programming with mental wellness themes
- Use hip-hop elements (lyrics, rhythm, movement, storytelling, cyphers, or discussion) to encourage healthy emotional expression and dialogue
- Engage youth in discussions around mental health, identity, self-confidence, stress management, and community empowerment
- Create a safe, inclusive, and energetic environment for participants
- Adapt facilitation style to diverse audiences and age groups
- Assist with event setup, flow, and participant engagement as needed
- Maintain professionalism and represent I’RAISE’s mission and values at all events
- Provide brief feedback or reflections following events to support program evaluation
- Experience in hip-hop (emceeing, spoken word, dance, DJing, or music facilitation)
- Passion for mental health awareness, youth development, and community engagement
- Strong facilitation, communication, and group engagement skills
- Comfortable leading activities and speaking in front of groups
- Ability to travel within Georgia for in-person events
- Background or interest in social work, psychology, education, counseling, arts, or nonprofit work is a plus
- Make a real impact using culture and creativity to support youth mental health
- Gain hands-on experience working with a multidisciplinary mental health team
- Network with professionals in nonprofit leadership, mental health, and the arts
- Strengthen facilitation, public speaking, and program delivery skills
