Position Summary

I&M Machine and Fabrication is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist/Programmer. This position is responsible for programming, setting up, and operating CNC mills and lathes while ensuring precision, quality, and efficiency in all machining operations.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints, drawings, and process sheets to determine machining requirements.
• Program, set up, and operate CNC mills and lathes.
• Perform first-piece inspections and in-process quality checks.
• Use precision measuring instruments, including calipers, micrometers, and height gauges.
• Install and align tooling, fixtures, and workpieces.
• Calculate speeds, feeds, and cutting parameters.
• Troubleshoot machining issues and perform basic preventative maintenance.
• Maintain quality and productivity standards.
• Collaborate with team members to improve machining processes.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Experience programming and operating CNC mills and lathes.
• Experience with live tooling.
• Strong blueprint reading and machining knowledge.
• Proficient with precision measuring equipment.
• Strong math, computer, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and communication skills.
• Fanuc and Mastercam experience preferred.

Pay Range: $20.00–$33.00 per hour, based on experience.
