We are currently looking for a Mechanical Engineering Co-Op Student to join our Torin Drive team at our Memphis, TN location.
What You’ll Do
Technical Documentation
Initiate and implement Engineering Change Orders (ECOs)
Create or update assembly drawings for elevator machines to align design with manufacturing and assembly processes
Revise product manuals to improve clarity of installation and maintenance instructions
Design and Engineering
Conduct structural analysis of elevator machines and mounting assemblies
Apply engineering logic for machines, ropes, and elevator components
Implement new machine assemblies to meet customer requirements
Process Improvement
Develop and document improved processes to increase engineering, sales, and production efficiency
Learning & Growth
Gain hands-on product development experience
Work closely with experienced engineers in a collaborative environment
Receive mentorship from product engineers and the engineering director to build technical and business skills
Health & Safety
Follow all safety policies and use appropriate protective equipment
Maintain a safe, effective workplace by communicating and adhering to safety procedures
Other Duties As Assigned
What We’re Looking For
Education & Skills
Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (or related discipline)
Experience With 3D Design Software (SolidWorks Preferred)
Regular and prompt attendance
