Your mission
Lead the mechanical restoration of horizontal and vertical pumps. You will plan work from blueprints and schematics, construct foundations for pump assembly and disassembly, and execute meticulous inspections using micrometers and calipers. Using overhead cranes and forklifts, you’ll handle major components safely, then reassemble to exact standards for reliable performance.

Industrial shop environment featuring large machinery, overhead cranes, trucks, and forklifts. Expect a traditional warehouse-style setting. Full-time, in-person role; 8-hour first-shift schedule; approximately 40 hours per week.

Core responsibilities
- Diagnose issues and perform complete disassembly, inspection, repair, and reassembly of large pumps and rotating equipment
- Interpret blueprints/schematic drawings to determine procedures and construct foundations for pump assembly and disassembly
- Operate manual, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electric tools to carry out work
- Verify dimensions with micrometers, calipers, gauges; document inspection results
- Maintain strict tolerances and control precision throughout reassembly
- Use overhead cranes and forklifts for safe movement and rigging
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 7 years as a pump mechanic or equivalent role on large rotating equipment
- Hands-on expertise with hand and power tools; crane and forklift operation
- Ability to read measurement tools and communicate clearly in writing and speech
- Manual dexterity, critical thinking, deductive reasoning, and control precision
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
