The Full-Time Laundry/Uniform Attendant is responsible for the cleaning, sorting, distribution, and maintenance of all resort linens and colleague uniforms. This behind-the-scenes role plays an essential part in upholding Hyatt’s cleanliness and presentation standards, contributing directly to both guest satisfaction and colleague experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate washers, dryers, and finishing equipment according to established procedures
- Sort, treat, and process linens and uniforms with attention to fabric type and care requirements
- Inspect laundered items to ensure quality standards are met; identify and report any damage or excessive wear
- Maintain proper records of uniform issuance, returns, and inventory levels
- Organize and distribute clean uniforms to departments and colleagues
- Ensure the laundry and uniform areas remain clean, stocked, and organized at all times
- Respond promptly to colleague requests for uniform exchanges or alterations
- Follow safety and sanitation guidelines, including handling of chemicals and heavy equipment
- Assist with seasonal inventory and deep-cleaning tasks as needed
- Previous laundry or housekeeping experience preferred, ideally in a hotel or resort environment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced setting
- Basic knowledge of laundering equipment and cleaning agents
- Ability to lift, push, and carry up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
