Position Summary:
The Food Runner is responsible for delivering food orders promptly from the kitchen to guests in the dining area, ensuring accuracy, presentation, and guest satisfaction. This role supports the service team in maintaining a seamless dining experience.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver food orders to guests quickly and accurately
- Describe dishes to guests and answer basic questions about the menu
- Communicate effectively with kitchen and service staff regarding order timing and modifications
- Ensure proper food presentation before delivery
- Assist servers and bussers in clearing and resetting tables as needed
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of service areas
- Provide friendly and professional service in line with Hyatt standards
- A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast paced environment
- Refined verbal and written communication skills
- A desire to exceed guest expectations Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment preferred but not required
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to lift and carry food trays up to 30 lbs. and stand/walk for extended periods
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Positive attitude and willingness to assist wherever needed in the restaurant
