Attract, Educate, and Convert Customers with Compelling Content
HVACDirect.com is looking for a Marketing Writer to help drive sales through creating, curating, and updating best-in-industry content and collateral. Whether it be digital advertising, on-site content, or video scripts and sales collateral, our growing, nationwide eCommerce business is in need of an experienced direct marketing writer to add to our creative team.
The Marketing Writer will be a first-class content creator with the proven ability to write benefits-driven copy that results in measurable customer action. Direct marketing experience is a must and the ideal candidate will also have experience with SEO and the ability to naturally incorporate customer search intent within the content. An understanding of eCommerce UX is preferred, plus experience working with YouTube and eCommerce platforms is a big plus.
The Marketing Writer will work with multiple parts of our business and marketing efforts, including eCommerce advertising and site content, contractor programs, private label branding, and wholesale sales programs across a wide range of product verticals. They will collaborate with Merchandising, Sales, Brand, Search and other cross-functional partners on creating the full scope for our marketing campaigns.
Supported by a team of technicians and industry experts, the Marketing Writer does not need to be knowledgeable about HVAC, but instead needs to be willing and able to learn and to work with our tech team to turn their knowledge into consumer-facing content. Project assignments will vary based on campaign needs.
Responsibilities (but not limited to)
- Writing eCommerce content (product descriptions, category copy, SEO text)
- Scope and write informational and educational blogs and video scripts, plus accompanying copy for YouTube and site placement
- Advertising copy for mediums including: Email, Digital Display, Direct Mail, Video
- Help scope and implement content for landing pages, infographics, and SEO-hub pages
- Contribute to branding efforts by maintaining a consistent tone of voice across all platforms.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years Proven experience in copywriting, content creation, or marketing writing roles.
- Strong understanding of SEO principles, keyword research, and digital marketing strategies.
- Excellent copy editing and proofreading skills to ensure high-quality output.
- Strong consumer-facing writing skills
- Understanding of eCommerce consumer journeys
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator) is a plus for collaborating on visual content.
- Knowledge of print advertising and branding principles is desirable.
- Ability to conduct thorough research to inform content development.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
