We are a growing HVAC company dedicated to providing exceptional heating, ventilation, and air conditioning services to residential and commercial customers. We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper to join our team and support our day-to-day financial operations.
Position Summary
The HVAC Bookkeeper is responsible for managing the company's financial records, accounts payable and receivable, payroll support, and general bookkeeping functions. The ideal candidate will have experience in bookkeeping, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced service environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate financial records and bookkeeping systems
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
- Reconcile bank statements, credit card accounts, and vendor accounts
- Generate invoices and monitor customer payments
- Assist with payroll processing and employee time tracking
- Prepare monthly financial reports and assist with budgeting
- Track job costing and project-related expenses
- Maintain vendor records and process vendor payments
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities
- Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting procedures
- Assist management with financial analysis and reporting as needed
Qualifications
- 2 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience (HVAC, construction, or service industry experience preferred)
- Proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or similar platforms
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and bookkeeping practices
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of financial information
- Strong communication and customer service skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with HVAC, construction, plumbing, electrical, or service-based businesses
- Knowledge of job costing and service management software
- Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred but not required)
Salary : $28 - $35
