Our client, a Medical Device manufacturer, is currently looking for an Electrical Engineer to join their team for a 12 month contract. This is an on-site role located in the Naples/Ft. Myers, FL metro area. Rate: 60-75 per hour (negotiable) Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Designs electronic sub-systems and modifies existing designs to develop or improve products and facilitate manufacturing operations.
- Recommends alterations to development and design to improve quality of products and/or procedures.
- Determines budgets and timelines for assigned projects.
- Leads electrical design for multi-functional new product project teams, as assigned by Engineering Manager, through project technical feasibility analysis, initiation, planning, execution, and termination, adhering closely to project timeline and budget.
- Provides Regulatory department with technical electrical support for assigned projects as needed.
- Supports Manufacturing to provide processing improvements.
- Determines necessity of electrical testing and initiates testing of assigned products
- Reports on progress and status of assigned projects on a timely basis.
- May be required travel to attend trade shows and visit established accounts as well as prospective accounts. International travel may be required.
- Complete understanding and application of principles, concepts, practices, and standards. Full knowledge of industry practices.
- Proficiency in designing products using Schematic Capture and Layout tools. Altium experience preferable.
- Solidworks and/or Creo experience preferred.
- Electronic and Electronic Systems Manufacturing process knowledge preferred.
- Experience working in fluid or vacuum systems preferred.
- Project management and communication skills training preferred.
- Technical knowledge in development methodologies, design, and project implementation.
- Experience in the Design, layout, simulate, procure, and bring-up/debug/test PBC boards including digital circuits, analog circuits, and mixed-signal circuits (high speed and DDR experience & knowledge preferred).
- 5 years of professional experience excluding academic coursework or interships required.
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Electrical or Mechanical) required.
