What are the responsibilities and job description for the Law Clerk position at Hupy and Abraham S C?
Hupy and Abraham S.C., an AV-rated personal injury law firm, is looking for a motivated Law Clerk for our West Des Moines or Davenport office.
Our Law Clerks support our litigation attorneys with legal document production, legal case law research, and screening new client calls. Their duties include, but are not limited to the following;
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Draft summons/complaints, motions, discovery, and other pleadings
- Legal Research
- Brief Writing
- Screening Potential Clients
- Trial Preparation
- Other duties as assigned by a litigation attorney
REQUIREMENTS:
- Qualified candidates must have earned a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree and be eligible or in the process of taking the Iowa Bar Exam or licensed by the Iowa State Bar.
- Demonstrated superior customer service skills
- Innovative problem resolution
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast paced/dynamic environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Basic knowledge of Outlook, Word, and Excel
- High level of professionalism and confidentiality
