The Legal Assistant will join a well-established law firm to provide support to the Immigration Practice Group.
Legal Assistant Responsibilities
- Administrative tasks and strategically manage attorney workflow.
- Calendar management, travel arrangements, time entry, transcription.
- Filing petitions with USCIS, both paper and electronic.
- Drafting immigration forms using Docketwise
- Drafting, editing and proofing various legal documents and correspondence.
- Various other administrative duties as assigned by attorneys and paralegals.
- Draft, proofread, and file legal documents related to probate and estate administration
- Organize and manage case files, pleadings, correspondence, and related documentation
- Provide general administrative and legal support to attorneys as needed
- HS Diploma is required, Paralegal Certificate is preferred.
- 1 years of specific immigration legal/law firm experience as an administrative assistant is preferred.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and Adobe, required.
- Experience with document management systems as well as time-entry software preferred.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills with ability to meet deadlines in fast-paced environment.
- High level of attention to detail, ability to proofread and effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to be resourceful and efficient in handling high volume priorities.
- Possess a high level of professionalism and ability to handle confidential information.
