We’re looking for an Assistant Office Manager and Legal Assistant to join our team and play a key role in supporting immigrant communities. Responsibilities
- Collaborating closely with attorneys in the trenches of immigration and litigation matters.
- Providing legal accompaniment to children during their legal processes.
- Crafting and filing legal documents with precision and purpose.
- Traveling all over the state as part of a team to meet with and represent clients.
- Facilitating seamless communication with our diverse clientele, team members, and government entities.
- Calendaring and tracking deadlines and reminders.
- Compiling complex applications for mailing and/or court filing.
- Assisting with mail deliveries, scanning, and administrative tasks.
- Coordinating in-office client meetings.
- Assisting with invoicing and collections.
- Fostering an environment where face-to-face services become a unifying force within our mission.
- Troubleshooting basic technical difficulties.
- Skillfully connecting with people from diverse backgrounds.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- A strong commitment to pro-immigrant values, empathy, and discretion.
- Dependable, detail-oriented, and tech-savvy (familiarity with communication platforms, Microsoft Suite, and Adobe, at a minimum).
- Valid driver’s license with a clean record.
- Ability to drive long hours.
- Availability to work irregular hours.
- Access to your own vehicle that can transport at least three adults and one child in a car seat, and luggage if necessary.
- Professional working proficiency in verbal and written Spanish.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Must love dogs and children.
