The Medical Assistant 2 serves as the primary point of contact for patients at an outpatient care facility in Jupiter, FL. This role supports both clinical and administrative functions in a fast-paced environment, delivering direct patient care within certification scope while ensuring accurate documentation and operational efficiency. The position requires bilingual English/Spanish skills and strong collaboration with physicians and nursing staff. This is a Monday–Friday onsite role with potential extension or full-time conversion (not guaranteed).

Medical Assistant 2 Responsibilities

• Serve as first point of contact for patients
• Perform back-office clinical duties including vital signs, injections, diagnostic testing, specimen collection, and phlebotomy
• Document patient information accurately in the Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system
• Prepare, clean, and sterilize equipment and exam rooms
• Collaborate closely with physicians and nurses to support patient care
• Complete moderately complex administrative and operational tasks
• Prioritize assignments while maintaining quality and compliance standards
• Follow department policies with sound judgment and minimal supervision

Medical Assistants 2 Requirements

• 1–3 years of back-office Medical Assistant experience in direct patient care
• Active State Medical Assistant certification (RMA or CMA)
• Current CPR certification
• Bilingual in English and Spanish
• Experience in a fast-paced, high-volume healthcare setting
• Basic computer proficiency, including MS Outlook
• Strong communication skills and team-oriented mindset
• Must complete TB screening (patient-facing role)

Medical Assistant 2 Preferred Qualifications

• High School Diploma
• Hands-on phlebotomy experience
• Experience with EMR systems and HEDIS
• Active certification from AAMA, NHA, AMT, ARMA, or NAHP
• AART Rad Tech license
