Job Title: Principal Quality Control Engineer (Mechanical – Piping – Welding Inspector)

Summary:
HukariAscendent is seeking a Principal Quality Control Engineer (Mechanical – Piping – Welding Inspector) to provide quality control support for construction management activities.. This role involves supervising quality control engineers, performing field inspections, and ensuring compliance with site specifications, standards, and nuclear quality program requirements.
Required Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline with 8–10 years of practical experience in construction inspection or related areas. Equivalent combinations considered:
• Associate’s degree 10–12 years of experience
• High school diploma 12–16 years of experience
Additional Experience Requirements:
• Practical field experience in mechanical, piping, and welding quality control within the past 16 months (Preferred)
• AWS CWI or prior SNT-TC-1A VT Level II certification (Preferred)
• Prior work experience under an ASME NQA-1 quality program (Required)
• Prior DOE work experience (Required)
• Well-developed organizational and supervisory skills with strong communication talents (Required)
• Ability to foster a work environment promoting safety, quality, openness, trust, teamwork, and customer satisfaction (Required)
Security Clearance:
Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a DOE “Q” security clearance. Candidates who have possessed an active DOE clearance (L or Q) within the past two (2) years are preferred. Subcontractor must have an active eFOCI and approved Facility Level Clearance with DOE/NNSA.
Work Schedule:
40-hour work week. SRNS utilizes 5/8s, 4/10s, and 9/80 schedules. Overtime may be required to meet deliverables at the discretion of the Manager.
