Job Title: Advisory Engineer / Project Engineer

Duration: One (1) year, with the option to extend for two (2) additional one-year option periods, in accordance with the attached position description. Option periods are not guaranteed and are exercised at the discretion of the hiring manager.
Location: 100% onsite — Central Engineering (H Area, F Area, SRPPF). Local candidates or candidates willing to relocate at their own expense.
Anticipated Work Schedule: 6:45 AM – 5:15 PM EST, Monday – Thursday.
Estimated Hours Per Year: 2,080 straight-time hours, plus up to 800 overtime hours.
Summary:
SRNS is seeking an Advisory Engineer to serve in the working title of Project Engineer, providing staff augmentation support to integrate and manage engineering activities for assigned projects. This individual will provide overall engineering and design direction, leadership, and management for assigned projects and tasks — establishing design criteria, resource forecasts, schedules, and priorities; managing project cost and schedule performance; and providing administrative guidance to leads and managers. The role draws on advanced technical expertise to resolve the most complex engineering problems, influence technical direction across disciplines, and mentor less senior professionals, while representing SRNS/SRS in technical areas to oversight groups and professional societies.
Required Qualifications:
Education & Experience: Typically, an advanced degree and experience — PhD degree and about 15 years' experience, MS degree and about 17 years' experience, or BS degree and about 21 years' experience.
