Position Summary:
The Part-Time Night Shift IT Operator is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of core systems during off-hours. This role involves performing essential tasks such as printing order books, managing incoming requests from customers and warehouse teams, monitoring system alerts, and overseeing the completion of key warehouse jobs. Additionally, the IT Operator will execute routine weekend system restarts, following detailed procedures to ensure systems are up and running for the next workday. This position requires attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to follow instructions independently.
Responsibilities:
· Answer incoming calls, assist customers with inquiries, route calls to the appropriate department, and provide basic tier 1 support or general information as needed.
· Monitor warehouse system jobs for completion, errors, or alerts; escalate issues to on-call I.T. personnel when necessary
· Print, assemble, and organize warehouse order books for upcoming shifts or deliveries
· Perform the routine weekend system restart by carefully reading and following detailed instructions
· Document phone interactions, system monitoring activities, and any issues for accountability and efficiency
Qualifications:
· Demonstrate reliability, dependability, and self-motivation, with a strong willingness to learn
· Ability to understand and follow detailed notes and instructions
· Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
· Verbal and written communication skills
· Ability to remain alert and focused during night shifts.
Experience and Education:
· Experience in phone operators, customer service, or general basic support roles is preferred
· High school diploma or equivalent preferred
