What are the responsibilities and job description for the Financial Controller position at HRX Head Hunters?
We’re hiring a hands-on Controller to own cost accounting and inventory at our Miami manufacturing site. This role is for someone who may not be a fully baked Controller yet—but has the ability, energy, and upside to get there fast.
This is not a transactional role. You’re expected to analyze, improve, and add value.
What You’ll Do
- Own cost and inventory accounting using actual (by-lot) costing
- Lead and develop a small accounting team (2–3 people)
- Run month-end close (~5 days) and improve speed and efficiency
- Analyze manufacturing and inventory data and deliver clear insights
- Partner with operations on controls, data accuracy, and reporting
- Improve processes and increase automation
- Maintain strong internal controls and accounting compliance

- You explain the numbers, not just report them
- You fix broken processes instead of tolerating them
- You turn messy data into useful conclusions
- The team performs better because you’re leading it
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Manufacturing accounting experience with inventory exposure
- Strong technical accounting foundation
- Advanced Excel skills (must-have)
- Strong analytical skills and comfort with large data sets
- Learns fast, adapts quickly, and takes on increasing responsibility
Nice to Have
- Power BI or similar tools
- Spanish
- Experience improving manual or semi-manual processes
- Clear career progression and growth mindset
Salary : $100,000 - $165,000
