What are the responsibilities and job description for the Inventory Control Assistant position at Houston Healthcare?
Work Shift:
The general responsibilities and functions of this position are to operate and maintain a supply inventory system supporting all departments throughout the hospital. Inventory all assigned carts and nursing stations to ensure proper and authorized items are available and the necessary paperwork is processed. Also assist in the proper management of the supply stockroom. Duties may include transporting supplies between facilities through the use of a cargo van or delivery truck. May be asked to help receive products as needed.Qualifications:
A. Education & Training:
High School graduate or GED equivalent.
B. Experience:
1-3 years Material Handling or other Healthcare experience.
C. Required Certification/Registration/Licensure:
Valid Georgia driver’s license. Acceptable MVR history to meet and maintain insurance requirements must be met in order to drive HHC vehicles.
D. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Utilizes a variety of stockroom equipment to include hand trucks, delivery carts, dollies, electric forklift, cargo van, or delivery truck.
