What are the responsibilities and job description for the Ultrasound Radiology Student position at Houston Healthcare?
Work Shift:
Responsible for ensuring the delivery of quality healthcare in Imaging Services and assist in the performance of other duties. Employee promotes service excellence. Responsible for ensuring the delivery of quality radiographs, CT, MRI, or Ultrasound of all parts of the body for interpretation by the Radiologist. This includes taking radiographs, CT, MRI, or Ultrasounds in the O.R., on the patient floors, and in the Emergency Room. Knowledge of, and performance of duties with Darkroom skills, with PACS, File Room, and scheduling are also necessary.Qualifications:
A. Education & Training:
High School graduate required. Actively enrolled as a student at an accredited
school of Radiologic Technology (24 month), Ultrasound, CT, or MRI.
B. Experience:
Minimum one (1) year as an imaging student (in the program(s) listed above).
Competent in performing routine radiological, CT, MRI, or Ultrasound
procedures.
C. Required Certification/Registration/Licensure:
Current AHA/ARC BLS certification.
D. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Utilizes a variety of standard radiographic equipment and supplies. Functional
when using digital fluoroscopy. Functional in portable units. Functional when
using c-arm equipment.
