What are the responsibilities and job description for the Service - Warranty Tech position at Houk Air Conditioning?
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist lead technician
- Carry, load, and unload tools, materials, and equipment
- Help with duct installation, sealing, and insulation
- Maintain a clean and organized job site
- Follow safety procedures and company guidelines at all times
- Assist with basic wiring, brazing prep, and equipment setup
- Clean and prepare work areas before and after installations
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors
- Provide support in troubleshooting and resolving installation issues
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Prior construction or HVAC experience is a plus, but not required
- Willingness to learn and take direction
- Ability to work in various weather conditions and confined spaces (attics, crawlspaces)
- Basic mechanical aptitude
- Strong work ethic and reliability
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift 50 pounds regularly
- Ability to stand, kneel, bend, and climb ladders for extended periods
- Comfortable working in hot, cold, and tight spaces
Licenses & Certifications (Preferred but not required):
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- EPA certification (or willingness to obtain)
