What are the responsibilities and job description for the Night Auditor position at Hotel?
As a Night Auditor, you’ll be the key point of contact during the night shift, balancing front desk operations with end-of-day financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Audit, balance, and report on daily hotel revenue across departments (rooms, food & beverage, gift shop, etc.)
- Track room revenue, occupancy stats, and other performance metrics
- Prepare daily summaries of cash, check, and credit card transactions
- Post charges, verify account balances, and process payments
- Check-in/check-out guests and assist with reservations and inquiries
- Maintain accurate room inventory and coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance
- Resolve guest concerns with professionalism and courtesy
- Promote hotel services and use persuasive selling techniques
- Ensure data privacy and uphold a high standard of appearance and conduct
What We’re Looking For:
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Comfort working independently overnight
- Ability to use computers and standard front desk equipment
Preferred:
- Background in accounting or finance
- Prior hotel front desk experience
- Familiarity with hotel property management systems
